Downshifting: Creating a Path to a Simpler Life Are you working more and enjoying it less? Are you struggling to maintain a lifestyle that has lost its joy and meaning? Do you feel out of touch with who you truly are? Are you tired of hearing yourself talk about a change and finding yourself in the same place you were in a year ago?
Perhaps you are ready to downshift to a life that is outwardly simple and inwardly rich, a life in harmony with your soul, your community and the earth. In this workshop you will give voice to your inner yearnings and deepest values and find you own unique definition of a "simpler life". Pat and Allie will draw on principles of Ecopsychology, Voluntary Simplicity, Native American Wisdom and Transpersonal Psychology to help you clarify what is most important to you, create a vision for your next life stage, identify your resistance to change, and chart a plan of action for your next steps. We will learn about others who have downshifted to simpler, fulfilling lifestyles and support each other in taking action for actualizing our vision. One-Day Workshop Sunday, November 7, 2004 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. The Graduate Center at CUNY New York City To register, call (212) 817-7000. |
